What data we process
Browsing this website does not require any personal data, and we do not use analytics, profiling or advertising tools.
Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs technical data such as IP address, browser and requested pages for operational and security purposes only.
If you contact us to book a table or a room, the details you enter in the forms (name, dates, number of guests, notes) are not stored by the website: they are only used to write the message that you send yourself via WhatsApp. From then on we receive them like any other message, email or phone call.
Why we process it
To answer your requests and manage bookings (pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract, Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
To comply with legal obligations, such as reporting guest details to the police (Questura) and tax requirements (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
For the security and operation of the website (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Who can access it
Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting) and Supabase (database for the website content, hosted in the European Union), acting as data processors.
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), if you choose to contact us via WhatsApp: WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.
Competent authorities where required by law, and our advisers (e.g. our accountant) only when necessary.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union; in that case the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Booking details are kept for as long as needed to manage your stay or meal and, where required, to comply with tax and legal obligations (up to 10 years). Technical browsing data is kept by the hosting provider for short periods, according to its policies.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and for data portability (Arts. 15–21 GDPR), by writing to info@ilglicinefranciacorta.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
